Tawas, MI, or "Up North" as we call it.
What a place to relax and enjoy nature...catch a fish or two, and definitely eat some ice cream.
The trip wouldn't be complete without a foray into Iargo Springs and walking the pier in town with good friends.  This is what Pure Michigan is made of!

Gettin' Hitched

I have been VERY negligent of my blog throughout the past...8 months. And for good reason. I was gettin' hitched! Here is a peak inside my perfect day.




We got married in Flint, Michigan, our hometown on a sunny Saturday in June. What a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by all of our family and friends in one place!

Now that I'm married, more travels and posts will abound...stay tuned!

Mackinaw Island

My foray onto Mackinaw Island was fabulous. The island itself is an escape into yesteryear. Automobiles are prohibited, bikes abound. The clean air and laid back attitude allowed me to relax and enjoy the beautiful Michigan sun.

I'm not a fudge fan, but for all of you chocolate lovers, Mackinaw is THE PLACE for sweets. If you want to "work off" those extra calories, the island is only eight miles in circumference. I suggest renting tandem bikes or roller skating. Otherwise, swimming and hiking are definite musts.
